From Christmas carols in the classroom to a fun game of headbandz! Our day was truly fun.... But got a little crazy at times. Our Who Freast was lots of fun with our who pudding and roast beast! We all loved having our feast while watching the grinch!!
Our classroom elf has finally arrived! Everyone is super excited!! The kids are blogging a nice little welcome to him in the RESPOND blog in my website! Stay tuned for pictures of his adventures in room 322!!!! Day 14: Our Last Day With Jingle Day 13: Jingle looks as tired as I am! Day 12: Jingle the elf had quite the busy day today! First, he took all of our Polar Express tickets and taped them together like a train! Then while we were gone on the Polar Express, he fell victim to a Grinch attack!! Finally, during PE he broke free and was super excited about it! Day 11: It is Reindeer day!! There are kits of little reindeer loose around the school today!! Even jingle has joined the fun! The kids even made reindeer ornaments!! Day 10: It's ELF DAY at NDES!! Our sweet little Jingle is super excited! Hanging from the rafters he is announcing that today is his favorite day of the week!! Day 9: Jingle is reading a book to our classroom reading buddies!! They seem to really be enjoying it! Day 8: Jingle left a note today with a reminder for each student!!! The note says, "I mustache you to be good!" He left a little mustache for everyone to wear as a reminder that he is watching for good behavior!! Of course by the end of the day, there were random mustaches all over the floor! Ha! I'm sure the custodian was confused!!! Day 7: Oh Jingle! You are just too sweet! He brought candy canes to decorate our room with! Now he looks super cozy in our basket! Day 6: Jingle is at it again! He had made friends with Mrs. Potato Head and is borrowing her glasses to keep his eyes on the class!! Cute!! Day 5: Jingle made a grand entrance this morning with a little note about how disturbing it was that we didn't have any snow around here! He decorated our classroom with snowflakes, and left his mess all over the place!!! Funny little elf! Day 4: Jingle changes our boggle board to little tiny elf letters that spell his name over and over! Such a jokerster! Day 3: Jingle decorated our classroom ficus tree with lights and ornaments with the kids name written on them in little tiny elf writing!! Super cute! He even left us a note! It says," Your tree was oh so boring. It almost had me snoring! So, I decorated it with lights, and now it is just right!!" Day 2: He is hiding high in the sky to get a good look at everyone! Day 1: He brought us a letter from Santa!!!
Today all the students were encouraged to dress like Santa! We got a surprise video message from Santa today that shocked us all!!! He knew all about our class and the good and bad behavior we've been having.... Here is the link if you'd like to watch it too!! http://www.portablenorthpole.com/watch/glc54WuCHqQpq8_QxYlvmNg%3C Then we got to make our very own Santa puppet! It was so much fun and the kids did such a great job! Below are just a few if them! We wrapped our day up with The Grinch dressed as Santa and had a little fun discussing his beautiful change of heart!
Today my class took a trip to the North Pole via the Polar Express! The hot chocolate was SO YUMMY! A big thank you to Ms Henry and Mrs Railey for head up our journey! What a great time on the Polar Express in our PJ's! Here we are waiting in line for our trip! The conductor has to punch our tickets! We are on the train and just finished our wonderful hot chocolate!!! Time for Christmas carols with our very own jingle bells!!!!!!
Tonight, exciting things were happening at the Douglas County Board of Education meeting! The Superintendent, Dr. Pritz, spotlighted North Douglas Elementary School students and teachers.
I was blessed with the honor of accepting an award on behalf of the work done in The Good News Club! I am proud to be apart of the GNC and the NDES staff! Congrats to my fellow teachers who were honored for their contributions to their clubs and students!! What a wonderful time to have off from the daily routine! Secretly, I think we get a week of vacation just for teachers to have the chance to clean their house! I do not know about you, but I can't seem to keep up with it....ever!!
I was blessed to spend time with my family on Thanksgiving! On Friday, we of course went shopping bright and early. It was a cold day, but the deals were worth it. Now I just have to make it to the next pay day :) lol! Tomorrow it's back to school I go. I'm excited to hear about what my kids did over the break. I have also heard a rumor that I "may" have a special delivery and visitor this week! Last year around this time, I had a very special friend come to stay in my classroom! I sure hope he gets to come back this year. 😉 Stay tuned for pictures! Here is a picture from last years visitor!! |
