Our classroom elf has finally arrived! Everyone is super excited!! The kids are blogging a nice little welcome to him in the RESPOND blog in my website! Stay tuned for pictures of his adventures in room 322!!!!

Day 14: Our Last Day With Jingle

Jingle started the morning off as a silly acrobat!! While we were away at lunch, Jingle surprised us with a little bit of magic North Pole snow for us with a cute little note! During PE, Jingle wrote us a letter saying goodbye and that the students could touch him for just a moment. It was precious! By the time we came back from recess, Jingle had returned back to his home with Santa.

Day 12: Jingle the elf had quite the busy day today! First, he took all of our Polar Express tickets and taped them together like a train! Then while we were gone on the Polar Express, he fell victim to a Grinch attack!! Finally, during PE he broke free and was super excited about it!

Day 8: Jingle left a note today with a reminder for each student!!! The note says, "I mustache you to be good!" He left a little mustache for everyone to wear as a reminder that he is watching for good behavior!! Of course by the end of the day, there were random mustaches all over the floor! Ha! I'm sure the custodian was confused!!!

Day 5: Jingle made a grand entrance this morning with a little note about how disturbing it was that we didn't have any snow around here! He decorated our classroom with snowflakes, and left his mess all over the place!!! Funny little elf!

Tonight, exciting things were happening at the Douglas County Board of Education meeting! The Superintendent, Dr. Pritz, spotlighted North Douglas Elementary School students and teachers.

I was blessed with the honor of accepting an award on behalf of the work done in The Good News Club! I am proud to be apart of the GNC and the NDES staff!

Congrats to my fellow teachers who were honored for their contributions to their clubs and students!!

What a wonderful time to have off from the daily routine! Secretly, I think we get a week of vacation just for teachers to have the chance to clean their house! I do not know about you, but I can't seem to keep up with it....ever!!

I was blessed to spend time with my family on Thanksgiving! On Friday, we of course went shopping bright and early. It was a cold day, but the deals were worth it. Now I just have to make it to the next pay day :) lol!

Tomorrow it's back to school I go. I'm excited to hear about what my kids did over the break.

I have also heard a rumor that I "may" have a special delivery and visitor this week! Last year around this time, I had a very special friend come to stay in my classroom! I sure hope he gets to come back this year. 😉 Stay tuned for pictures! Here is a picture from last years visitor!!
